A woman who won a stuffed animal at a Maryland carnival was shocked to learn there was a razor blade inside the toy, WJZ reported.
The woman won the plush animal prize Saturday evening in a Wiffle ball game at the Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Company carnival, according to the Carroll County Times.
According to a release from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the woman's dog was playing with the stuffed toy Sunday when she heard a "crunch."
The dog was not injured, the Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies and officials from the Fire Department are asking residents to check stuffed animals they won at the game, WJZ reported.
The Wiffle ball game was not owned by the fire company, the Times reported. The carnival ended Saturday.
The Reese & Community Fire Department acknowledged the incident in a post on its Facebook page, noting the Sheriff's Office had been contacted and an investigation had been launched.
