• Welcome springtime with Central Florida's Festival of Fine Arts & Flowers

    ORLANDO, Fla. - Flowers are blooming and cleaning has commenced - spring is in the air! To welcome springtime to Central Florida, the Council of 101 is hosting an all new springtime fundraiser at the Orlando Museum of Art.

    Prepare to bloom with excitement at the Festival of Fine Arts & Flowers, a museum-wide showcase combining awe-inspiring fresh floral Art in Bloom arrangements inspired by works from the Orlando Museum of Art's permanent collection and current exhibitions, Antiques Dealers and Tables in Bloom - all under one roof offering a kaleidoscope of beauty and inspiration. The festival kicks off with a FLOWER POWER opening night party on Thursday, March 28. Throughout the three-day festival, guests can experience a number of themed events and classes, including Appraisal Days, Floral Design Workshop and more.

    Special guest James Farmer - author of the best-selling books A Time to PlantA Time to Celebrateand A Place to Call Home - will have a speaking presentation and book signing.

    "We're so excited to kick off this new event," said Susan Harris, president of the Council of 101. "Spring is one of the most beautiful times of the year, and we want to celebrate it with our community. This brand new showcase is sure to bring delight to all."

    Over the years, Council of 101 has raised more than $7 million for the Orlando Museum of Art's educational programs and operational expenses.

    General admission is $15 per person.

    Includes admission to the Museum's exhibition Louis Dewis: A Belgian Post-Impressionist.
