Kicking off rodeo week on Saturday, February 9th is the 8th Annual Monster Bulls competition. The show starts at 7:30pm, and these cowboys will try their skills on some of the most fierce and feisty livestock in the southeast with thousands watching the biggest and baddest Silver Spurs bulls. If you're looking for extreme sports, our Monster Bulls event is expected to be action-packed! This year, the Silver Spurs organization will donate a portion of the ticket proceeds to the AdventHealth Foundation to be used for breast cancer research, treatment, and support.

With the parade's last appearance being in the early 2000’s through Downtown Kissimmee, the Silver Spurs Club decided the 75th anniversary weekend of their event was a good time to bring back this beloved tradition. On Friday, February 15th, also known as “Rodeo Day”, a unique school holiday in Osceola County, at 10:00 am, the Rodeo Parade will kick off showcasing 30+ entries including Silver Spurs Club Members, cowboys and cowgirls on horseback, Big Boss Chris Fluke, Little Boss Chris Baker, local City of St. Cloud Council Members, City of Kissimmee Commissioners, County Officials, and Miss Silver Spurs Hayley Crosby & her Court, Junior Miss Silver Spurs Ansley Bo and Little Miss Silver Spurs Emma Boisclair, who will be riding in on the famous "big blue boot". The parade route is being finalized and will be released soon.  If you are interested in participating in the Rodeo Parade, please go to www.silverspursrodeo.com/parade.

“We are so excited that the Silver Spurs Club is bringing back the Rodeo Parade and honored that they chose downtown St. Cloud as the location to kick-off Rodeo weekend,” said Mayor Nathan Blackwell, City of St. Cloud. “This is a tradition that has been in Osceola County for over 50 years and we are proud the Parade will take place in St. Cloud on Rodeo Day.”

The traditional SSR performances will feature bull riding, bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, women’s barrel racing, tie-down roping, team roping, and steer wrestling. In between all the rodeo action, there will be acts performed by award winning rodeo clown Keith Isley and the crowd’s favorite and beloved Silver Spurstradition- the calf scramble.

The largest rodeo east of the Mississippi is the work of the Silver Spurs Club, an all-volunteer, non-profit organization started in 1941 by Osceola County ranchers who began the rodeo in 1944, selling war bonds as admission to raise funds for our military.
