LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - The much anticipated Planet Hollywood Observatory at Disney Springs will be serving up some burgers straight out of Flavortown.
Celebrity chef and TV personality, Guy Fieri stopped by the new establishment to give Orlando Restaurant Critic Scott Joseph a preview of some of the burgers and sandwiches that he's adding to the menu.
Fieri designed six 'Big Bite Burgers' for Planet Hollywood and they nothing short of indulgent. Some of the menu options include Fieri’s award-winning Bacon Mac-N-Cheese burger with applewood smoked bacon and six-cheese mac-n-cheese; The Mayor of Flavortown with seasoned pastrami, swiss cheese, caraway slaw and Donkey Sauce on a garlic-buttered pretzel bun; and the Prime Time American Kobe with American-style kobe beef, smoked gouda, cheddar, and caramelized onion jam on garlic-buttered brioche bun.
Even vegetarians have some choices with Fieri’s take on the scratch-made Morgan’s Veggie. Named for his sister, the burger is made with black and white beans, chickpeas, oats, artichokes and roasted red pepper with cilantro aioli on a toasted wheat bun.
In addition to Guy Fieri's dishes, Planet Hollywood Observatory will also showcase some classic comfort foods like the L.A. Lasagna and even the Lobster Feast Fra Diavolo with spaghetti piled high in a whole lobster shell.
For some lighter fare, guests can try one of the five fresh salads on the menu like the Citrus Kale or the Spinach & Berry salad.
Planet Hollywood Observatory has not yet announced an official opening date for the restaurant but Guy Fieri says that guests should expect a soft opening some time next week.
