Orlando, Fla. - The holidays at the Universal Orlando Resort this year are epic packing in more new experiences than ever joining the existing line-up of holiday 'must-do's' in Orlando, but none shines brighter than the all-new Universal's Holiday Parade featuring Macy's at Universal Studios Florida at the Universal Orlando Resort.

Bigger and better than ever, this year the Universal's Holiday Parade featuring Macy's has new parade floats, iconic balloons, familiar faces, and more than 100 costumed performers and dancers.

The parade rolls down the streets of Universal Studios Florida with 15 large and intricately detailed floats that are filled with holiday joy and familiar faces. This year friends from Despicable Me, Madagascar, and Shrek have joined the traditional toys and stories of Christmas.

When we had the chance to speak with Lora Sauls, Show Director for the Universal Orlando Creative Development team in Entertainment, she was beaming about the 16 new balloons, 13 of which were designed exclusively for Universal Orlando by Macy's, that fly high over the parade and are piloted by Universal Orlando Resort Team Members.

The Universal's Holiday Parade featuring Macy's happens every night, however it does change times so make sure to check the following schedule when you plan your trip to Universal Studios Florida:

  • 5:30 pm on November 30 – December 5, December 8 – 17
  • 5:00 pm on November 29, December 6 – 7
  • 8:00 pm on December 18 – Jan. 6

For the best viewing area, make sure to head to the streets of New York up to 45 minutes before the parade begins to grab a spot between the Macy's store front and Revenge of the Mummy so you can see Santa light up the park's Christmas Tree in spectacular fashion.
