Universal's Volcano Bay gives first look at TapuTapu wearable devices

by: Shelley Caran Updated:

Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando Resort shared a sneak peek at the TapuTapu wearable that will be available to guests when the park opens.

The TapuTapu wearable is included with your admission to the water park, and this new & exclusive technology will allow you to virtually wait in lines while exploring the park.

TapuTapu also allows guests to have play experiences throughout the park such as the ability to set off water cannons and even illuminate hidden images.

The Volcano Bay website describes the TapuTapu process as:

Arrive
Enter Universal’s Volcano Bay™ where you’ll be welcomed as a part of the Waturi family.

Receive Your TapuTapu
As you enter the park, every guest will receive a TapuTapu wearable. It’s yours for the day to unlock the wonders of our tropical oasis.

Tap Throughout The Park
Look for totems throughout the park and tap your TapuTapu wherever you see this symbol.

Hold Your Place In Line
Tap your TapuTapu to enter the Virtual Line™ experience. Relax and play around the park. Your wearable will alert you when it’s time to ride.

Discover Interactive Surprises
You can even use your TapuTapu to play with interactive surprises around the park, from water jets to dazzling lighting effects.

Return Your TapuTapu
After a day of fun, return your TapuTapu when you exit Volcano Bay.

We are looking forward to exploring the 30 acres and 4 distinct areas of Volcano Bay when it opens on May 25th!
