Steve Harvey and plenty of other special guests were on hand to help kick off the 2017 Disney Dreamers Academy.
The Disney Dreamers Academy helps unlock the potential in young people and enable them to imagine their futures through inspirational leaders who show how to set goals, make plans and dream big.
During the 4-day event, 100 high school students, ages 13-19 are given the opportunity to participate in a series of sessions and workshops at Walt Disney World Resort. The theme parks turn into classrooms where Dreamers work side by side with some of today's top celebrities, community leaders, and dedicated Disney Cast members to help them imagine a brighter future.
The career sessions range from animation, journalism, entertainment and entrepreneurship; to culinary arts, medicine and zoology. The students also get the chance to develop lifelong skills such as networking and interviewing.
